Education:
Mr. Empey attended Yuba City Junior College in Yuba City, California from 1984 to 1985 and the Southern Utah State College in Cedar City, Utah from 1986 through 1988 on a baseball scholarship. In 1990 he received his Radiology Technologist (RT) certification from the University of Nevada Las Vegas’ radiology program. In 2004 Mr. Empey completed a 2 year radiology practitioner program at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah obtaining his Radiology Practitioner Assistant (RPA) certification and passing the nationally certified boards in the 98th percentile. Also in 2004, Mr. Empey completed a two year residency at University Medical Center (UMC) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Experience:
Mr. Empey joined Desert Radiologists in 2007. As a RPA, Mr. Empey evaluates and consults with patients before and after procedures, performs diagnostics procedures under the supervision of the attending radiologists, administers intravenous medications and contrast media, as well as evaluating medical images, reviewing preliminary reports and preparing technical reports.
