Education:

Dr. Bandt graduated with honors from the University of Minnesota in 1960. In 1966 he graduated Salutatorian and Alpha Omega Alpha from the University of Minnesota Medical School. From 1966 to 1968 he completed his Medical-Surgical Internship and a Nuclear Medicine Fellowship at the United States Public Health Service Hospital in San Francisco. Dr. Bandt served as Diagnostic Radiology Resident at Stanford Medical Center. During his final year, he was elected Chief Resident.

Experience:

Dr. Bandt was Radiation Medical Officer at the United States Public Health Service Hospital from 1968 to 1969. He joined Desert Radiologists in 1972. Dr. Bandt is Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at University of Nevada School of Medicine, Adjunct Professor of Radiology Technology and Nuclear Medicine at UNLV. He also serves as Chairman of Desert Springs Hospital Radiology Department. Dr. Bandt was Chairman of the medical staff at UMC from 1982 to 1988, Chairman of the Department of Radiology at UMC from 1978 to 1988 and Chairman of the Department of Radiology at Desert Springs Hospital from 1990 to 1997. Currently Dr. Bandt serves as Vice Chairman of the medical staff as well as Chairman of the Radiology Department at Desert Springs Hospital. Dr. Bandt established interventional radiology departments at UMC and Desert Springs Hospital. He continues to direct the department section of interventional radiology at Desert Springs Hospital.
